Hướng dẫn sử dụng control panel digitalocean bằng hình ảnh

DigitalOcean strives to have an incredibly easy-to-use web hosting control panel. The following overview should provide a quick guide to the various functions of the user interface.

Server Options

When clicking on a droplet name in the control panel, you have a variety of options for working with or modifying your server. Here is an explanation for each one:

Power Cycle: Power Cycling is another method of restarting the server. Power Cycle performs a hard shut down of the server, turning it off abruptly, and then starts it up again.

Power Off: Power Off turns the server off abruptly (in contrast to the slower Shutdown option)

Console access: This option loads a HTML5 viewer that allows you to access your server from the browser.

Reset Root Password: If you forget or have an issue with your root password, you can have a new root password sent to your email. Once you login with your new root password, you can change it with the passwd command to whatever you prefer.

You can resize the droplet RAM by first powering down the server and then selecting the RAM size that you prefer. This process only changes the RAM—the disk size remains the same.

You can resize the disk space by spinning up a new server off of the original image.

Snapshots: Using snapshots, you can create a copy of server as it looks at the current point. You can later restore your server from a specific snapshot or use the snapshot when spinning up a new droplet to make the new server match a previous one. When taking snapshots, the server must be shut down. It will be automatically booted up once the snapshot has completed.

You can enable Backups to take automated, regular snapshots of your droplet during off peak hours.

Backups do not power down the server.

Kernel: You can use the kernel section of the settings tab to change the kernel associated with your server.

Rename: You can also use the rename function within the settings tab. This not only changes the name of your server but, if set up as a domain name, also acts the server’s PTR record.

Destroy: Destroy can be used if you need to dispose of a droplet altogether. Once a server is destroyed, any data on the server that was not backed up is no longer available. However, data that was preserved in snapshots can be recalled as a server image when making a new server.

Rebuild: Rebuild starts the server off from scratch: whatever changes you made since the server was spun up are gone. Although the server size will remain the same, you can restore to a different base OS or snapshot in the account.

Account Options

In addition to the individual Server options, you can also make general account changes with control panel sidebar.

The Images section lets you view both the automated backups and the server snapshots you took, as well as take new snapshots of any of your servers. All of the images can then be used to replicate server settings on any fresh droplets you spin up.

SSH Keys

SSH Keys allow you to log into your droplet from the machine of your choice without a password. In fact with SSH keys, you can eliminate the need for a password altogether. All of your SSH keys are displayed in the SSH keys section where you can add more keys or destroy existing ones. You can find information on how to generate SSH keys here.

Under the billing tab you can see you see all of your monthly invoices, view the history of your account, and edit your credit card information.

If you have any issues with your droplets or account, you can use the support tab to contact DigitalOcean and get the situation resolved quickly.

The DNS manager allows you to set up and maintain your domains. You can find more information here on setting up a hostname.

You can access the API from the control panel, as well as get the API credentials. This article explains how to use the API in a little more detail.

Settings [the cog]

In addition to letting you change any of your general account details, the settings tab has options to set up two factor authentication for your account and contains the details of the referral program.
